Piccola curiosità: in questa edizione finale sul muso della vettura (sopra lo scudetto) è applicato un piccolo stemmino dove per la prima volta compare il nome "DUETTO", che - come noto - è una denominazione che non venne mai ufficialmente adottata dalla Casa, ma che caratterizza proprio le ultimissime Spider prodotte.

The CE as I understand was created by ARDONA (Alfa Romeo Distributors of North America) without involvement of the Italian parent company (FIAT Auto Spa)
For MY94 cars was reserved the range of the VIN numbers from 7008261 to 7008460 (these cars are not in ePer).
Ten Spiders with chassis numbers from ZAR11500008261 (ZARBB32GXR7008261) to ZAR11500007008270 (ZARBB32G0R7008270) were in a Base specs. All others (190 cars) were in Veloce specs and transformed to Commemorative Edition. Chassis started from ZAR11500007008271 (ZARBB32N4R7008271) to ZAR11500007008460 (ZARBB32N7R7008460)
At least 9 CE were made for Canadian market in Canadian specs (speedometer in km/h, green VIN plate, daytime running lights, but strangely with air bag).
All MY94 cars were made with manual gearbox despite availability of the automatic gearbox. All MY94 cars were made in May, 1993. Looks like CE cars have been produced in 4 colors (130, 306, 258 and 817). The limited edition numbering was random and did not follow sequence of the VIN #.

One car, ZAR11500007008374 (ZARBB32N3R7008374), does not have a history in North America. It means that the car has not been registered, so it could be damaged/demolished or reexported to another country.

Max, thanks for the insight, I also had the impression that the Commemorative Edition setup was an initiative of the American subsidiary. Anyway, all very interesting.

Max, grazie per l'approfondimento, avevo avuto anch'io l'impressione che l'allestimento Commemorative Edition fosse un'iniziativa della consociata americana. Comunque tutto molto interessante.
